There’s just something about lace that makes it perfect for weddings. From veils and gowns to cake decorations and invitations, the delicate and elegant designs of lace go with just about every theme, location, and color scheme.

So why not show off a little lace on your nails?

Colors & Tools:

I used the sweet pastel Ramona (Classic with the Twist), the subtly glitzy Sienna (Classic with a Twist), and the Plié Wand™ and Creativity Kit (striping brush and dotting tool) to create this pretty little lace look.

Follow these steps to create your own gilded lace mani:

1. After applying your base coat, paint your nails with two coats of Ramona.

2. Once your base color is dry, dab a few drops of Sienna onto a piece of foil or a paper plate. Dip the striping brush into Sienna and carefully paint three semicircles to create a scalloped line about a third of the way down each nail.

3. Replace the striping brush attachment with the dotting tool. If needed, dab a few more drops of Sienna onto your foil or paper. Now you’re going to create three hearts along the tip of your nails inside each of the semicircles. To create a heart, use your dotting to gently place two small dots of Sienna next to each other, then drag them down at an angle using your dotting tool to create the point of the heart shape.

4. Dip your dotting tool into Sienna again, then carefully place small dots along the rounded edge of your scalloped lines.

5. Once your lace design is dry, apply a glossy top coat to seal your look!

The great thing about this design is that you can switch out the base color to match your wedding theme. If you want a more traditional look, you could also use a bright white like Brigitte (Classic with a Twist) instead of gold. You can totally make it your own!
