I find Nicki Minaj innovative, with her ever changing hairstyles and wardrobe changes. The self-proclaimed YMCMB Barbie is releasing a new fragrance, called Minajesty, this fall. While I love her old perfume scent, I felt kinda embarrassed having her bottle in my room. Minajesty is equally as embarrassing, and… well, tacky.

Back in 2012, the “High School” rapper released a perfume called “Pink Friday,” which is available via Macy’s, Amazon, etc.  The fragrance’s bottle, which is fashioned with a bright pink wig and a red bra is a “remix” of the original bottle.The original bottle, a bold replica of herself, was pink, and somewhat cutesy. It was girly, and it made sense with the “Pink Friday” theme. Comparing Minajesty to Pink Friday, Minajesty’s color patterns clash. And that’s what makes it tacky.

Today (July 29), Nicki took to Instagram to announce the new scent, and provide a bit of a description. “#Minajesty smells like a passionate love affair. Mysterious and sexy. An unforgettable and hypnotizing scent.”

Maybe, I will grow to like the bottle, but for now, its just tacky!
