If you have never bought a Urban Decay Naked palette, you should know that UD is famous for its highly pigmented eyeshadow. With the new Naked 3 launch, its easy to get lost at the similarities (and differences) of each palette). Here’s my breakdown:

Naked

12 bronze-hued neutrals (shades go from the palest “champagne” to the grittiest “gunmetal”)

Naked Palette leans for WARM Skin Tone. Naked contains 4 exclusive shades.

Naked 2

12 taupe-hued neutrals

Naked 2 Palette leans for COOL Skin Tone. Naked 2 contains 5 exclusive shades.

Naked 3 shades are all exclusive unlike Naked and Naked 2 which contain just 4 and 5 respectively.

1. Apply Half Baked to the lid and blend to the bottom lash line.
2. Apply Smog to the crease and blend.
3. Highlight the brow bone with Sidecar.
4. Apply Darkhorse to the lower lash line and blend.
5. Apply Underground 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil to the top and bottom waterline.
6. Fill in the lip with Naked2 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil and top with Naked2 Revolution Lipstick.

Naked 2 Look How to

1. Apply Pistol to the lid, blending into the crease and the bottom lash line.
2. Highlight the brow bone with Verve.
3. Apply Blackout as a liner to the upper lash line.
4. Fill in the lip with Naked 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil and top with Naked Revolution Lipstick.

Naked 3 Look How to

1. Apply Buzz and Liar to the lid and blend to the bottom lash line.
2. Apply Strange from the crease to the brow bone.
3. Apply Factory to the crease and blend out.
4. Apply Blackheart as a liner to the upper lash line.
5. Fill in the lip with Native 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil. Top with Native Revolution Lipstick.

 

If you can not decide, it looks like Urban Decay will come out with a 3 palette set very soon. On the Urban Decay Facebook page, Urban Decay offered the 3-palette set as a scavengers game.
