This is what the upgraded (entire) collection of Julep Maven April 2014 looks like! As written by WakingDay.
Julep Nail Colors in “Flora”, “Bailey” and “Maren” – $42
The first set of the nine Julep colors are “Flora”, an exotic dragonfruit with blue shimmer color from the It Girl line, “Bailey”, a hyped cobalt sheer color from the It Girl line and “Maren”, an electric bubblegum sheer with blue sheen color also from the It Girl collection. I love love love the purple and I’m pretty happy with the pink too, I’m not a blue nails kinda person, so that’s a trader.
Julep Nail Colors in “Tatum”, “Caitlin” and “Mariska” – $42
The second set of colors continues with “Tatum”, a neon chartreuse chrome color from the Bombshell line, “Caitlin”, a shocking hibiscus with gold shimmer color from the Classic with a Twist line, and “Mariska”, a juicy tangerine shimmer color from the Classic with a Twist line. I’ll be keeping Caitlin and trading the others, I’m so dug into my color choices, lol.
Julep Nail Colors in “Phoebe”, “Sunny” and “Kayla” – $42
The last of the colors await, granting us “Phoebe”, a vibrant Jungle metallic color from the Boho Glam line, “Sunny”, an overexposed yellow chrome color from the Boho Glam line, and “Kayla”, an electric iris sheer with violet sheen from the Bombshell line, which doesn’t get its justice in this light. It’s actually a ligher purple, and my favorite of the three.
Julep Bronzer Brush and Blush Brush – $52
Rather expensive brushes, it’s the Bronzer brush on the left, and the Blush brush on the right. They’re fairly high quality, but also rather fat and large, and sadly I already have a makeup brush kit.
Julep Glow Pore Minimizing Bronzer in “Light Golden Bronze” – $28
Due to my healthy computer tan, I’m too afraid of using bronzers, I don’t want to make myself look silly. I picked out the lightest shade they had, the Light Golden Bronze. I’ll try it closer to summer when I should actually be trying not to be super pale!
Julep Glow Pore Minimizing Blush in “Peach Bellini” – $24
An adorable blush that I absolutely love. It’s a great color too, though I would have been a smidge happier not being stuck with Peach and able to choice the Petal Pink instead. My prices are obviously full, non Maven prices, but it gives a generally good idea of what kinds of value you get purchasing the large packs. I wish a quarter of the value wasn’t in the brushes alone, as I didn’t really have a need of them, but you can’t choose everything you get!
