So I decided to try the Joey New York Quick Results Bye Bye Blackheads wipes. First of all, I really want to say is that I love the minimalism design of the wipes’ packaging! The coconut tree design and the fact that its infused with coconut water drew me in 🙂
There are 30 wipes per package and each wipe is fairly large, covering 1/3 of the face (enough to cover the nose). They smell clean, like that new laundry smell with hints of coconut water. I have dry skin, and while I really wanted to love the wipes, they were a bit too over-drying for my skin. I had to quickly apply moisturizing cream after every use. My sister who has oily skin loves these wipes however. They are perfect for her skin and they grab all the oils in the face. I think this is the secret of “bye bye blackheads”. By grabbing oil and sebum (which is what blackheads are made out of), they slowly disappear.
Along with oil and sebum, the wipes are great at absorbing sweat, thereby making them perfect for post workouts or just for a quick freshen up mid-day when our faces can be our greasiest. For heavy eye makeup? not so much. It does a terribly job at removing eye shadow and mascara so you will need an additional makeup remover product.
1 wipe is 6″ by 7.75″ and they last up to 24 months after initial use.
