What happens after August 15th, after the free shipping code expires?
All orders are subject to a delivery charge of $5.95, regardless of the size and weight of your package. (Forever 21 does have free shipping after a certain threshold, we hope H&M can at least do free shipping after $100 in the near future)
Here’s the return policy:
You can return your item(s) up to 30 days after receiving your package for a return shipping charge of $5.95. The item(s) must be unworn and in its original condition with all labels and tags attached. Make sure the original packing slip is included in the return package. Without the original packing slip, we cannot process your return and therefore your refund. All packages contain a pre-printed address label and packing slip to be used if returning items. You cannot return items purchased online to an H&M store.
Since you can not returns items to store it may cost you up to $11.90 if you don’t like an item ($5.95 to receive it without free shipping code, and $5.95 to return it). For items under $20, you’re better off keeping it than returning it, since it will cost you roughly 50% of the item cost just to give it back.
The store highlight is the Top with Burnout Pattern which is currently $5.95 (be sure to use code 0549 to get this shirt shipped free!) It is a fitted top with a white neckline, short button placket, and long sleeves. Available in 4 colors and it is a online store exclusive. At time of writing all sizes and colors were available.
Besides this top, there appears nothing else on sale (everything is the same price you will find at the store). There is the addition of H&M Home, a section you can’t find in stores which features pillows and duvets. The duvets are extremely well priced, but I haven’t bought any so I can not vouch on the quality.
H&M Home also features other house items such as paper napkins at $1.95, trays at $4.95, bathmats starting at $9.95, shower curtains at $19.95, as well as aprons and robes. There is also a kids section and a men’s section but I currently see no “SALES” for neither home, mens, or kids section (a pity! but I do love a lot of the home section items!) This is is going to give Forever 21 a HUGE “run for their money” since H&M items tend to be more attuned to current trends (I would say Forever 21 is more youthful and flowy, while H&M is more sophisticated and adult. Forever 21 tends to lean on more of the cotton look, while H&M mimics silk through the use of polyester). I am probably going to get that $5.95 top in multiple colors. Well see how fast the shipping is!

If I just returned the items in store without a receipt, wouldn’t I get store credit?
Yes, if the sku scans, it will be accepted, and you will get store credit. But remember that when you don’t have a receipt, they scan your driver’s license or ID. This information is kept in a database for future returns. Excessive returns without receipt can keep you from returning things in the future, so you’re always better off returning things with receipt when you have one.
