When you need space or just don’t have that much space to begin with, going up might not be such a bad idea like this beauty battle station:
Here our how to on creating this awesome battle station!
1. Purchase a Magnet Board (if you really like the one watery_tart used, its this one by The Container Store)
2. Purchase Mini Magnets and Gorilla Glue (and be sure not to stick your fingers together as you apply the mini magnets to your items).
3. Apply to your items (more is better) and you are set!
Q&A
Q: but is there the risk that the things can fall off the board?
A: Nope! I put so many magnets on them they’re essentially glued on
Q: where did you get strong enough magnets that provide confidence nothing will fall off? I want to do this so badly but I saw a post a few months ago of someone’s ruined Naked palette after their magnet just wasn’t strong enough.
A: The container store. I got mini magnets and glued 10 of them to the electric and its actually incredibly hard to get off.
Q: I always have mini heart attacks seeing these makeup boards i just picture everything falling off and omg that electric palette i would die if it were to drop 🙁
A: Don’t worry, they’re really on there! I’m not too concerned about anything else falling as its mostly unpressed powders up there but I made sure to put an excess of magnets on my palettes.
Q: Question, What do you do when you want to travel with your make-up? It seems when there’s magnets on the back of the products, the magnets would repel each other making it difficult to pack them. Or am I over thinking it?
A: Hmm, I honestly haven’t thought about this because I did it yesterday. If anything I think they would stick together because that was an issue when gluing them on. But even so with the way I pack (throwing and cramming everything in haha) I don’t think it would be too much of an issue. Good point though!
